There are two versions about the origin of Reggaeton: some say he was born in Panama, while others think it did in Puerto Rico, where besides from most singers of this genre.
Reggaeton is derived from Jamaican Reggae, but also is influenced by different genres such as Hip-Hop American and Puerto Rican different rates.
From the 90s, Reggae continued to be maintained as the native of Jamaica, but in Spanish. While in Puerto Rico, as well as Rap, also began to hear the reggae of Jamaica, which was very well received. Taking advantage of this small success, it began to enter the country boricua pace the Panamanians had created.
The first songs were heard reggae in Puerto Rico were, for example, "Dembow" Nando Boom, "Hot Pants" Pocho Pan, "Dulce" in bold or all of the international success of Gringo Man and the great General as "Muevelo" and "Son bow."
First sounds of Reggaeton
The first sounds like the current of Reggaeton in Puerto Rico came in the nightclub "The Noise", between 1993 and 1994, where he listened to the Rap Vico C with Jamaican background sounds.
The genre of Reggaeton in Puerto Rico began coining the term "Under", because it was distributed clandestinely among youth by strong lyrical content and language used.
